I am ecstatic to share this major announcement with y’all, *drum roll please* this month Everlane launched its first-ever legging. It’s called The Perform Legging, and I chose to style the legging in three simple ways as I flowed throughout the day.
Here is the run-down: It is currently available in four colors, two lengths, and all sizes (XXS-XXL). Yep I said it, ALL SIZES! The Everlane Design Team created this product with the same inclusive style philosophy in mind that I’ve always admired about the brand.
On Instagram, I asked my community what were the qualities that made for a perfect performance legging? I shared that based on my personal experience it would have to be:
- The FIT // They need to have next level stretch capabilities to support all of my movement coupled with light compression to flatter my body.
- The DESIGN // They must have a fresh, minimal, wear-anywhere design that can support me during my workouts and daily grind.
- The QUALITY // They need to be light-weight, moisture resistant, premium fabric that not only looks good, but genuinely feels good on my skin.
If I haven’t already made it super obvious lol, my personal relationship with leggings runs deep! Leggings have been a consistent part of my wardrobe since childhood courtesy of my Mom. Oh my goodness, let me tell y’all, there was a time in my life that leggings made up nearly 80% of my wardrobe. My mother made sure that I had a pair in every fabric for every occasion, and no, I am not exaggerating. While I’ve scaled back as my personal style evolved, leggings have continued to remain an basic essential staple for me. So I was very excited to put the new Perform Legging the test! After attending a dynamic stretch class at Outer Reach, running errands, dancing, and lounging around in them, I can confidently say that this legging possesses every quality that on my checklist and the best part is it doesn’t stop there. The Perform Legging is sustainably crafted (made with 58% recycled nylon dyed at a Bluesign®-certified facility), and affordable ($58). Folks, let me tell you – for these legging to look and fit the way that they do, it really doesn’t get much better than that! This post was created in partnership with Everlane, but all opinions are my own.
