Answering 7 Of My Most Asked Questions

How do you pronounce the second part of your name?

Phonetically I like to spell it like this La-Tree-S sound, and it is more commonly spelled as Latrice. Cute and fun little fact, I saw that Kate Spade had a heel named Latrice a while back, which led me to believe it is a lot more common than I thought.

How did you end up in New York?

The short version of the story is that my job in Chicago relocated me, but I will fully admit that New York was one of the top cities on my bucket list. Through the years a number of my friends have moved here for their career or graduate school, and I made frequent visits for work, which really made me comfortable with the idea of it. What are tips that you can share for posing in front of the camera?

Before we get into posing, I can personally say that I take the best photographs with people make me comfortable and are passionate about helping me take a good photograph. As far as posing, I would say movement that comes natural to you will look the best on camera. When trying new poses that may not come as naturally to you, practice it in the mirror and bring a visual to show your photographer what you’re looks to achieve to provide some guidelines. Most importantly have fun and embrace the fact that people will stare.

Can you start creating look books on YouTube?

YouTube is a beast, but this is in the works!

What are your favorite apps and photo editing tools?

Lightroom for photo editing, SKRWT for resizing, and Snapseed for it’s robust tool suite.

Where are your favorite places to shop?

In all fairness I am open to any place with a good return policy, because in this era of online shopping it’s difficult to fully understand any items quality, fit, and whether or not it flatters your body until you try it on. That said, places that I frequently shop are H&M, Zara, Aritzia, Everlane and Nordstrom, The only time I will bend on my return policy rule is for vintage now that I am in NYC samples sales, but I absolutely MUST try it on and love the item in it’s current condition.
