Spring Cleaning

If there’s one truth to be told about being a city dweller, it’s that space is hard to come by! Last Summer I moved into a new apartment building for “more space.” However, here I am several months later with more square footage and not enough closet space. Now, how did that happen?I figured this must mean one of two things, either I have a serious shopping habit or I’ve been keeping too many items that I no longer wear/need. Okay, I know that this may come as a shock to some of you, but it’s actually the latter. My lack of closet space brought about a moment of truth, where I had to ask myself…Britt, do you really need that many items and, if so, which ones are you actually wearing? After some honest self-dialogue (don’t act like y’all don’t do this), I was able to go through my closet and identify the items that I could live without. To my surprise, there was a lot more than I expected! If my closet could talk, I’m sure it would thank me and tell me that it feels like a weight has been lifted. Not only is my closet in a better place, but I was able to do this just in time for the Carson’s Goodwill® Sale. Taking place now through Saturday, March 24th, the Carson’s Goodwill Sale is officially on.  To encourage shoppers (like you and me) to declutter our space while making a positive impact on our communities, Carson’s is giving three coupons (up to 30 percent off!) for every item of clothing or household goods you donate. After hauling my items to Carson’s, I was so excited to receive my coupons to shop the sale. Speaking of, one of my purchases was this gorgeous Free People mini dress–at 30 percent off!Collected donations will be sold at Goodwill stores within the local community, and those donations will directly benefit people in your area. In 2017, donations to Bon-Ton (Carson’s parent company) helped provide 425,000 hours of job placement and training services at local Goodwill organizations across the country. Every donation makes a difference, Happy Shopping y’all!
